Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Vidmart Inc. ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application Video Downloader (the "App"). The App allows users to download and play videos for personal, offline use. The App is provided free of charge and is monetized through advertising.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.
2. Information We Collect
The App does not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or other directly identifying personal information. However, certain information is collected automatically by us and by our third-party service partners:
- Device information: device model, manufacturer, operating system version, screen size, language, and time zone.
- Advertising identifiers: your device's advertising ID (Google Advertising ID / AAID), which may be used by our advertising partners to serve and measure ads.
- Usage data: app interactions, session duration, features used, and in-app events, collected through analytics services.
- Approximate location: coarse, non-precise location derived from your IP address, used for ad relevance and analytics. We do not collect precise GPS location.
- Diagnostic data: crash logs and performance data used to identify and fix technical issues.
Downloaded content: videos you download using the App are stored locally on your own device. We do not upload, access, or store your downloaded files on our servers.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information collected to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the App and its features;
- Serve advertisements, which keep the App free of cost;
- Measure ad performance and app usage through analytics;
- Diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and improve stability and performance;
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security issues;
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. Third-Party Services We Use
The App integrates the following third-party services, which may collect and process information as described in their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them:
Used to display in-app advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads. See Google Privacy Policy and AdMob data practices.
Used for ad serving and mediation. Google Ad Manager may process advertising identifiers and interaction data to deliver and measure ads. See How Google uses data in advertising.
Used to display advertisements from Meta's ad network. Meta may collect device and advertising identifiers to serve and measure ads. See Meta Privacy Policy and Audience Network information.
We use Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with the App and Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and diagnostic information. See Firebase Privacy and Security.
5. Advertising and Your Choices
Advertisements in the App may be personalized based on your advertising identifier and inferred interests, where permitted by law and your consent settings. You can control personalized advertising at any time:
- Android: go to Settings → Google → Ads to reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ads personalization.
- Consent settings: where required (for example, in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom), the App will present a consent form allowing you to accept or decline personalized ads. You may change your choice in the App at any time.
If you opt out of personalized advertising, you will still see ads, but they will be non-personalized (contextual).
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only with the third-party service providers listed above for the purposes of advertising, analytics, and crash reporting, or where disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
7. Data Retention
Analytics and diagnostic data are retained by our service providers in accordance with their retention policies (for example, Firebase Analytics data is retained for a limited, configurable period). We retain data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy or as required by law.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information processed through the App. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information through the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
10. Your Rights (EEA, UK, and Similar Jurisdictions)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar data protection laws, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data held about you;
- Request correction or deletion of your personal data;
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Withdraw consent to personalized advertising at any time;
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. Because most data is collected by our third-party partners, we may direct you to their tools and processes where appropriate.
11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what categories of personal information are collected, to request deletion of your personal information, and to opt out of the "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can exercise the opt-out by disabling personalized ads as described in Section 5, or by contacting us. We do not discriminate against users who exercise their privacy rights.
12. International Data Transfers
Information collected through the App may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States, where our service providers operate. These providers maintain safeguards consistent with applicable data protection laws.
13. Third-Party Content and Websites
The App allows you to access and download publicly available video content from third-party websites and platforms. We are not responsible for the content, terms of service, or privacy practices of those third-party sites. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of downloaded content complies with the terms of the source platform and applicable copyright laws. Content should be downloaded for personal use only.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
